Hold An Event
The fundraising team are always delighted to hear from people who would like to organise their own fundraising event on our behalf. Here are just a few event ideas:
♥ Organise a Charity Night/Dinner/Race Evening.
♥ Ask family and friends to bake cakes, donate raffle prizes and sell them at a coffee morning
either in your house and garden or in a local hall
♥ Take part in a local Sponsored Walk or any other run, bike ride, swim etc. and be sponsored for us.
♥ Organize a quiz night and charge teams to enter.
♥ Gather fruit, vegetables and produce etc, organise a Melliah in a local hall or pub, auction or raffle off the goods.
♥ Birthday/Anniversary or Christmas, ask for donations in lieu of presents.......talk it over with the family first!
♥ Go Carol Singing. A great way to end the year. Go round your neighbourhood in a group.
♥ Be sponsored to give up something like smoking, chocolate, crisps etc for a given period.
♥ Approach local companies for support from staff who often organise many forms of ‘in-house’ and
♥ Ask your local Clubs, social groups, churches, schools and other charitable groups if they would
raise money for our campaign with a ‘one-off’ event.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Whilst we are not one of the Islands largest charities with dozens of workers, what we lack in numbers we make up for in enthusiasm and support.
We have a target of £20-25,000 a year which we try to raise as the Islands way of saying ‘THANK YOU’ to the Trust and its loyal and friendly staff for the way it takes care of our family members.
Our team have extensive knowledge on how to get started and plan an event, so why not talk it over with them?
Please call 622314, or email us: email@example.com
If you are considering organising your own event, please call to confirm a date as we don’t want events to clash!
