10th ANNIVERSARY

COFFEE MORNING

THURSDAY   24th NOVEMBER

St JOHN AMBULANCE (HQ) COMPLEX

GLENCRUTCHERY ROAD  DOUGLAS    10-12 noon

Our popular pre Christmas Coffee morning has something extra to celebrate this year. It was in November 2001 that the ‘Friends’ was registered as a charity. So what better way to mark the occasion than to have a full house? The venue is so easy to reach from all parts of the Island either by car or public transport.

WHAT COULD BE EASIER?

Buses from Douglas, Onchan, Laxey and Ramsey stop at the bottom of the drive on Glencrutchery Road (Ian Cannel Court stop), which is only a few minutes walk to the complex.

Motorists have plenty of parking just a minute or two down the road or by the TT Grandstand, which is just across the road from the venue.

We will have many STALLS including a BUMPER CAKE table. (Ladies usually come up trumps) plus our usual quality RAFFLE.

Tickets are just £1 which includes refreshments

Why not use the enclosed ‘order’ form to order a quantity of tickets and sell them amongst your family and friends. If every ‘friend’ took just 5 tickets each then we could raise over £1000 on tickets only. We know that many people can’t get along because of work commitments etc but they usually buy a ticket or give a donation. even if they can’t attend. It all helps our funds.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

Doesn’t seem possible that we are only weeks away from another Christmas and all the festivities that go with it.

Gift catalogues have been out for some time now. It is a very important fund raising period for charities.

Over the years we have had members doing a wide variety of things to help swell our funds over Christmas and New Year.

A few years ago we had brave souls taking part in the New Years dip at Peel and Derbyhaven. A number of Groups have been out and about singing carols, either street to street or around village trees.

Others have given donations in lieu of sending cards or gifts whilst others have given a lunch or dinner party with ticket sales going to the fund.

If you would like to do something over the festive period to help raise funds we would love to hear from you.
